We welcome applications for membership from individual beekeepers, as well as via their associations, but reserve the right to reject an application under our constitution.
- Beekeepers who are not part of an affiliated association, can join as individuals.
On approval, all individual members will then be allocated to a “floating association,” for the purposes of voting. The annual subscription for this membership is €40.
- Beekeepers who belong to a local affiliated association. This annual subscription is €20 per individual, payable via your local association. Your local association secretary/treasurer will then submit your data and fee to the IBAclg. In addition to the €20 to the IBA - your local association will usually add an additional amount to cover its cost of local meetings and demonstrations etc. That incremental amount is up to each local associations to decide. Association affiliation is renewed on an annual basis, to be renewed no later than the 31st January each year. Each affiliated association can send delegates to vote at the AGM in accordance with our constitution.
- Dual membership. Should you wish to affiliate with IBAclg, but remain a member of another umbrella body, the membership fee will be €10. As a dual member you will be able to vote as part of your local affiliated association but are not eligible to stand as a director. If there is no local affiliated association in your area, you will be allocated to the “floating” association for the purpose of voting.
