We welcome applications for membership from individual beekeepers, as well as via their associations, but reserve the right to reject an application under our company articles.
- Beekeepers not part of an affiliated association, can join as individuals. On approval, all individual members will then be allocated to a “floating association,” for the purposes of voting. The fee for this service is € 40.
- Beekeepers as part of a local affiliated association. This contribution is €20 per individual, payable via your local association treasurer. Your association secretary will have to submit your data and fees to the IBA CLG. Once your secretary has submitted that data, and you have been accepted as a member, you will be covered under our policy. Your local association will usually add an additional amount to cover the cost of local meetings and demonstrations etc. That incremental amount is up to the local associations to decide. Association affiliation is renewed on an annual basis, to be renewed no later than the 31st January each year. Each affiliated association can send two delegates to vote at the AGM
- Dual membership. Should you wish to affiliate with IBA CLG, but remain a member of another umbrella body, the membership fee will be €10. As a dual member you will not be offered covered under our insurance policy, but will be able to vote as part of your local affiliated association. If there is no local affiliated association in your area, you will be allocated to the “floating” association for the purpose of voting.
