Pauline walsh

My name is Pauline Walsh
I have completed the Beekeeping studies Q.Q.I. level 5 obtaining a distinction.
I have also competed a the beginners and intermediate exams.
My love of bees goes back to childhood and rekindled in An tIonad Glas whilst studying Organics in 2007.
Having gotten and lost two swarms in that and next year knew I needed more knowledge before acquiring my next colony.
In 2013 I completed my course of nine months in An tIonad Glas on Beekeeping.
I then went on to purchased my first two Colonies same summer.
Three years later I have completed intermediate and studying on to improve my skills. In my fourth year have now ten colonies of my own and teaching my family members as young as 6 and 4 how to manage colonies with 3 and 2 years respectively working are improving and passing on information to their friends.
I am passionate about bees, their welfare and future which is combined with getting as many people on board to understand about their importance not necessarily become beekeepers but help in other ways to protect pollinators therefore ourselves.
