Membership options

Irish Beekeepers' Association clg ("IBAclg") welcomes applications for membership (but reserves the right to reject an application under our constitution).
  1. Individual Membership
Beekeepers who are not part of an affiliated association, can join IBAclg as individual members.
On approval, all individual members will then be allocated to a “floating association” (for the purposes of voting). The annual subscription for this membership is €40.

2021 NOTE: For Independant Membership for 2021, please contact John Martin by email ibafloatingsecretary(at)gmail.com

  2. Membership via affiliated local associations.
Beekeepers who belong to an association affiliated to IBAclg . This annual subscription is €20 per individual, payable via your local association. Your local association secretary/treasurer will then submit your data and fee to the IBAclg. Once your secretary has submitted that data, and you have been accepted as a member, you will be covered under our insurance policy. In addition to the €20 to IBAclg - your local association will usually add an additional amount to cover its costs. That incremental amount is up to each local association to decide. Association affiliation is renewed on an annual basis, to be renewed no later than the 31st January each year. Each affiliated association can send delegates to vote at the AGM in accordance with our constitution.
  3. Beginners on a course with an IBAclg affiliated association, can apply for membership and insurance at a discounted rate of €10.
